Under the initiative and leadership of Tournament Director, Claire Morgan, Harriers Bowlarama VI took place at Langford Lanes on October 18 rebounding after a 9 year absence. The Harriers World Championship Fluff Bowling Tournament started in 2001 and continued for five consecutive years at Mayfair Lanes in Victoria until the bowling alley was torn down and no other 10 pin lanes were available on Vancouver Island. A big hole in the ground and in Victoria's bowling scene still remains at the former site of Mayfair Lanes on Topaz Avenue. Langford Lanes was built last year and the Harriers were assembled again tonight to knock down some pins and have some fun.

My journey with PIH started in 2004 by coming to Victoria to race the Mount Douglas Gutbuster where I met Race Director, Bob Reid. Bob invited me to join the Harriers and I have been a club member for 10 years now and have been fortunate to participate in many Harriers-hosted events including, Pioneer, Gunner Shaw, Stewart Mountain and Elk/Beaver.

For most of us, the TC10K Half Marathon meant running a half marathon with the name TC10K in front of it. However, five Harriers took it too literally.
